Biography
Sofia Koller is senior research analyst at the German Counter Extremism Project (CEP) and supports the Radicalisation Awareness Network (RAN) of the European Commission and European Council.
From 2018 to 2021, Sofia was a research fellow for counterterrorism and the prevention of violent extremism at the German Council on Foreign Relations, well as project leader of the International Forum for Expert Exchange on Countering Islamist Extremism.
Previously, she was also a consultant for different initiatives and organizations in France and Lebanon. She studied international relations and management at the University of Applied Sciences Regensburg and the German-Jordanian University in Amman as well as international conflict studies at the War Studies Department at King's College London. In her master’s thesis, Sofia analyzed parliamentary debates on the state of emergency and counterterrorism measures after the November 2015 attacks in France.
