Biography
Dani Alexander is the Chief Executive Officer of the UNSW Energy Institute. She is a passionate advocate for reshaping our energy system to be clean, affordable, reliable and equitable.
Her background is multi-disciplinary, reflecting the nature of her work bridging the gap between new technology and transitioning markets, which she has applied in government, universities and industrial co-operative research centres. Dani is focused on three major opportunities: delivering a future grid that can integrate close to 100% renewables, securing Australia’s global position as a renewable energy powerhouse and supporting a consumer-led energy transformation.
Her recent research explores mechanisms to mainstream energy innovation across the value chain, accelerating the technology and commercial maturity of new technologies.
