Leah Markworth is an Events and Administrative Intern at ASPI DC and a junior at the University of California, Berkeley, where she is double majoring in Global Studies and Cognitive Science with a minor in Mandarin. Her Global Studies concentration focuses on development, with a regional emphasis on Asia. Leah is participating in the UCDC Spring 2025 cohort, where she is studying media bias and activism.

In Summer 2024, Leah completed a fellowship with the Hudson Institute, where she participated in seminars on political theory and public policy, analyzed foundational texts in political philosophy, and engaged in policy workshops to gain hands-on insight into the legislative process. She recently concluded her term as Vice President of Communications for Delta Gamma's Gamma Chapter and served as Social Media and Web Chair for Delta Phi Epsilon, a professional foreign service fraternity.
