Biography
Monika Koroliovienė is a graduate of Vilnius University, Institute of International Relations and Political Science and earned MA degree in International Relations and Diplomacy. She also studied at the Creighton University in the USA and Free University of Berlin in Germany.
Monika attended senior courses at the Geneva Center for Security Policy and NATO Defense College. Prior to becoming a Vice-Minister of National Defense she served as Ministry of Defense Representative and Defense Adviser to the USA in Washington DC. She also served as National Security Adviser to the President of the Republic of Lithuania Dalia Grybauskaitė.
Monika has had multiple positions at the Ministry of National Defense throughout the last 17 years to include Head of Defense Policy Department, Head of NATO Section and Country Director for the USA, Germany, Nordic and Baltic countries. While serving at the Ministry of National Defense and at the President’s Office, she gained extensive experience on national and international conventional and unconventional defense policy matters.
