About ASPI Professional Development Programs

Our Better Policy Program is designed to cater to participants at various stages of their policy making journey and can be tailored to a particular Government Department:

• Policy Foundations Program – this one-day program is aimed at providing new starters and Graduates with an introduction to policy making in Canberra.
• Policy Applications Program – building on the Policy Foundations, this two-day program aims to deepen understanding of policy making in a dynamic strategic environment.
• Analytical Policy Tools Program – this two-day program focuses on providing a range of analytical tools to aid in the development of evidence-based policy.

Our focused and bespoke workshops are designed in partnership our partners across Government to meet specific requirements and produce targeted outcomes, emphasising our core role in policy development, advice, and application. The programs range from one-day to 10-days in duration and include:
