November 19 2024, will mark 1,000 days since Russia's full-scale illegal invasion of Ukraine. To commemorate the resilience of the Ukrainian people and reflect on Russia’s military aggression, ASPI invites you to attend a panel discussion exploring the challenges and opportunities that Ukraine is faced with today.
The event '1000 Days: Reflections on Russia's war on Ukraine and the path forward' will provide a rare opportunity to hear from a senior Ukrainian defence adviser who is playing an active role in shaping Ukraine’s response and future, along with senior experts in international security.
The discussion will focus on Ukraine's resilience and resistance against Russian aggression and how the conflict is impacting the global security landscape, alliances, and policy frameworks. It will also draw on the panellists’ unique expertise to examine the broader implications of the invasion for European and global security.
With the conflict now in its third year, the event will underscore the urgent need for continued global attention and support for Ukraine, as well as the strategic importance of its sovereignty. As the panel considers potential pathways for Ukraine’s victory and assesses the support needed to rebuild and secure lasting peace, this discussion will be an essential forum for anyone interested in international relations, defence, and policy at a critical juncture.
